L. Clayton Burgess
Clayton Burgess started his practice in the year 1999. He is an inspiring trial advocate as he has successfully won numerous large dollar lawsuits. He has also been permitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, he has also been granted this right in the Eastern, Western, Middle, and Southern Districts of Texas.
Formerly, he was a prestigious member of the Board of Governors for the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association. Clay is presently a member of the following organizations: the State Bar of Louisiana, the State Bar of Texas, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Lafayette Bar Association.
He completed his college at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. After graduating in Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona in 1991, he attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at the Louisiana State University. Clay Burgess was a semi-finalist in the year 1993-1994 in the Louisiana State University Flory Trial Competition and went on to receive his Juris Doctor in 1994.
